These days computer operating system companies - i.e. Microsoft, Apple, and Alphabet - push people to store their data in "the cloud". Where is the cloud? Is it safe to use the cloud? Is it reliable? Is an "old-fashioned" backup a better way to go? What are the advantages and disadvantages of cloud versus personal backup?
